Hi folks

I've just been looking at the Emerson Karambit which Heinnies have got in and the threads on the upcoming Spyderco version and it has struck me that these wee beasties are a legal EDC........ :yikes:
Unless I am missing something they have no lock, are under 3" and the wave opening is simply a function of blade ergonomics and carrying position.

Considering the way they are used I would be very surprised if ANY folding kerambit came without a lock.

Also if you look on the Knifecentre picture you can see the locking liner with traction grooves peaking out from under the first finger choil.

Good try, but I suspect most police officers would confiscate on principle, lock or no lock, especially if they actually knew what a kerambit was :cop:

Yeah, looks like you're right. I don't actually like them but it would have been very strange to be busted for a locking SAK whilst a knife designed to hurt people (a lot) was kosher, at least in literal terms.

UNLESS you need a £200 locking pruning knife............................ :biggthump

if you look at the picture on heinnie the liner lock is quite clear

Drifting a little off-topic....

Have any of you seen the "cobra" that Fairbairn designed for troops in Cyprus?
