Hey Guys
Having just aquired one of the above I thought I'd share my thoughts..
I ordered from HH so got the usual excellent service. This extended to the first unit being returned due to some sub standard workmanship but I rapidly received the replacement.
I went for the black one because I intended to store pens and reasoned spilled ink wouldn't be as much an issue than on the lighter colours.
The build quality is what we here expect from MaxP. Heavy, strong materials with zippers that feel like quality items(YKK brand) with paracord pulls.
On the front of the EDC is a mesh pocket closed by strong velcro and a 'loop' field for ID patches or similar(50 by 75mm). The rear of the pouch has a handle and MOLLE attachment points if that's your thing. Overall exterior dimensions are roughly 20 cm by 13cm
Once opened and laid flat the EDC has 6 pen sized loops on the left with three larger ones behind, the right side has four loops with two larger. Both sides feature large pockets onto which the loops are mounted, these being roughly 120mm by 135mm.
Also found inside are a keeper for keys and a cord loop.
The differing sizes of elastic loops on the inside mean the EDC will take all kinds of items that need securing/organising. As an example mine is used as a kind of admin pouch with four gel pens, two Sharpie markers, highlighter, lighter, flashdrive(SanDisk 4GB), ruler, nail clippers, tweezers, diary and Rite in the Rain notepad. That's what I carry but the EDC has room for quite a bit more should you feel the need to stuff it full.
With all that lot on board it's a little chunky for true pocket use but still goes in my cargo trouser thigh pockets(just). Where it seems most at home is in the top flap pocket of my rucksack.
Another bit of MaxP kit to add to my collection, this one is earning it's keep for sure..
