I know there are a goodly number of BB-ers who shoot, and it would seem that most of us who do are FAC holders using anything from a 22 rimmy upwards.
I fall into that category myself, having shotguns, 22 rimmies and a .270 Win.
Over the years I've been lucky enough to have used jst about everything you could think of that goes BANG from a HMR to a .50 cal.
However, some little while ago I bought back from my brother an original model Theoben Countryman in .22". (he bought it from me about 8 years back) Just a good quality. standard, sub-12ft/lb air rifle.
The fun I've had plinking with it has been great. It's like being a kid again :D
I have to stifle a chuckle every shot, as through a decent scope I can actually see the pellet travelling down-range on it's way to the target . Not something you can claim with a .270 !
I just thought I'd post this up to remind those of us who have forgotten the joys that can be had by having a good old fashioned plink with a 'pop-gun'. The big guns have their place, and their allotted tasks, but in all seriousness, if you shoot and, like me it years since you used a sub 12ft/lb-er, try it for an hour and see just how much childish joy you can still get from doing so.
