Aurora (http://www.potterycrafts.co.uk/products/equipment/aurora.htm) a stainless steel double liner welded up and you have a batch Electric HT salt bath for £499 plus the stainless sheet...... hmmmmmm .... of course I need the £499 first :rolleyes:

And on days when you don't want to use it as a saltbath, maybe you could take out the stainless liner, and use it as a furnace for heat treating air-hardening steels, like my favourit D2.

You'd need to check the precision of the heating system... Can it keep to ±5°C?

salt baths are also recommended for D2 (http://www.taylorspecialsteels.co.uk/pages/d2/stress_hardening.htm) Keith
