The handle is done with 60 colt tientos of aprox. 1,2 mm thick. The sheath is laced with an edge seam and the central seam is laced with only one tiento of 2,5 metres long.

Wow Horacio, that's some work you do there!

How long would it take to do just the pattern onna handle?

That's a traditional Argentinian style, I think?

I'm still concentrating on getting my braids to look even, never mind putting patterns in! Very nice work.

That reminds me - I have a dog chew to unroll...

Superb work Horacio!! The patience and skill that went into that handle and sheath is simply stunning. If you have pictures of any other work i for one would love to see them. Thanks again Nick

Thank you all guys ;)
It's a typical argentinian handcraft, and takes me 15 days to do it. Sorry but I haven't a pic of the blade.
I have done some other works and I'll post them if you are interested :S .

That is really smart. :D

I take it that is a dress knife and not meant for daily use.

Thanks guys. I will already show a woven button in detail.

The frequency of use of these knives in my country is of 1 time per week. They are not made to be used as kitchen knife.
