It's not worth a lot, i wouldn't be offering him any more than £60 or £70 at most.
You could sort the stock, make it serviceable but not pretty and then probably the easiest way to tidy the whole rig is a paint job over the lot, scope, stock and action - matt black or camo with rattle cans is easy enough and covers a multitude of sins.
It wouldn't be worth spending money on a reblue or a stock.
They are not a particularly nice gun to shoot and not HW quality but for a knock about rifle it would probably tidy up well enough.

Aye I think £60 is fair considering the condition and it would be a grand wee tool once you tidy it up.

Pad. E over on the BBS will give anything that sits still long enough a camo paint job, check out some of his work.

Yup! I bought it this morning got a 4 x 40 AGS sight with it as well as the other one.
Now I've got it I'm now looking at starting with refurbing the stock, as mentioned it has cracks both sides of the handle grip, their is no movement when cocking the action.
What is the best for filling the cracks? I have my usual apoxy but I'll sand the whole thing down first and tackle the dints.
I will post more when I complete that stage, intact al start a new thread !
Thanks guys,
Bri

The crack worries me a bit Bri,

Check the barrel to the action against a straight edge just in case the crack is caused by the gun being fired while cocked

Spot on Steve, my mate has a Lightening and thats how he cracked the stock in the same place (fired while it was cocked)

He replaced the stock with a spare but the barrel (as short as it is) was bent upwards - it shot perfectly fine but he needed to pack the scope at one mount (with 35mm camera film)
to fetch the elevation in line for zeroing.

Good luck Bri, looks like you'll get a tidy pest control rifle from it.

PS Bri your inbox is full - got the pins sorted for you but just need your address again

cheers
Rob
