Is the lower half entirely wood hollowed out and then joined, or is it leather on the back?
Certainly looks nice :)

How did you join the two halves? Just epoxy or is there pins in there as well? (apart from the bottom one)

the screws worked then jon.

Jon made this in my workshop and I can tell you all that the colours really are that good.

Lovely indeed, I've been thinking of doing something like this myself lately - if it turns out half as good I'll be more than happy.
