clearly trying such in a frontera is just madness, they should have used a proper off roader :ninja:
not condoning the action (do i really have to say this?)
Do they teach them nothing in school these days?

OK, it was me, broke my Colt titanium Sowbelly - not expensive but I loved that knife, it had already achieved "old friend" status.

Get a pajero, they are so much fun mate!
On a similar note, when Top Gear when Clarkson took a 4X4 up that or another mountain (he had a proper driver doing the river crossing!) but when they got to the top and finished filiming he and the others jumped into a helicopter home and Jezza realised that he still had the keys to the car.

i suspect that is most likely particularly as its a frontera, in fact the train probably pulled him up there :D

I guess I might have to look again at other options, but so far, all the 4x4s I've tried have either been too short on legroom (can't get behind the wheel!), or too low on headroom (visibility out the front seriously impaired by roofline or I'm hitting my head on the ceiling).
That said, running costs and insurance probably price me out of the 4x4 bracket at the moment....

Im 6'6 mate and fit fine in a pajero. You can put the long wheel base seats in and that seems to give them more legroom for those in the front. Insurance is cheap through adrian flux and the service is the best I have ever had!
Running costs are not high, I do 40 odd miles a day in mine and thats only for work. Playing is a lot more. Honestly mate, you wont regret it ;)

Dave, i know i am biased to a huge degree, but am sure you will fit in a paj. the seat is adjustable in so many ways including height and even the sides of the backrest adjust to accomadate. headroom is much better than some, my mate is 6.6 and has no trouble at all. next time we meet up, if i am in the paj you can have a sit and see what you think. you can play with the seat settings as they have a memory and will go back to my fav settings.

i think you need to pull up the tabs on the seat backs and then there is a lever at the rear of the seat, havent done it for ages.

 One quick google search later and yeah, driving a Pajero in spain could get some giggles out of the locals at your expense. (Or get you in fights if they think your car is referring to them!)

thanks Martyn, it was indeed. bizarrly, we had to contend with sheep jumping over the road and dissapearing over the edge. there is quite a drop on one side of the road.
had my son in the truck, 17 at the time. he was doing the brave thing but started talking more and more when we drove close to the edge :D
