While I normally don't care much for ponchos (since they tend to snag on trees and bushes and drag through the mud), this one's "multi use" capabilities make it interesting.

Yeah same here, but the design is OK, there are loops for the sleeves, so that the cloth follows your arms, and it can be held closed together with the pressure buttons. It does not go too far down either, so no mud gathering.

The only thing they advertise it can do, on which I have a HUGE doubt is solar still, water collector, yes, solar still , mmmmhhhh.

Yes, the multiuse is the good thing about it. I see it rather as a tarp that can be used as a Poncho ;)

For the rest, another nice and inventive piece of italian outdoor gear.
