Sold, thanks!

My wife's laptop blew up a few months ago, so we had to buy her a nice new one. She's decided she prefers to share mine though

(reason: she wants to be able to carry it about, to work and back - mine is a little one and a lot lighter that this 17 incher)

So, this eMachines (they're made by Acer and are pretty much the same) G420 is up for sale, almost new as we only bought it on the 24th August 2011. It still has over nine months of full warranty left. It's still as new as it's hardly been used. We chose this model because it has a remarkably good screen for the price, seriously - much better than anything else even several hundred pounds dearer! After all, that's what you use the most, followed by the keyboard, and my wife wanted it for editing her photographs. The keyboard is surprisingly good too, better than many I've used on much more expensive laptops.

Brief Specs:

17.3" Wide screen high resolution display (not the usual so-called Hi-Def, but actually low-res display)
64-bit AMD Sempron SL42 2.1 GHz Processor
2GB RAM (I upgraded it from 1GB with matched modules; with 2GB it runs nicely)
160GB Hard Disk
Built-in wireless and gigabit wired LAN
Webcam in the lid; we set up video conferencing between our laptops!
The usual other bits
Room for a second internal Hard Disk underneath. Ideal for an SSD setup!

It will be supplied with all the original bits and the box, as I received it, along with my original sales invoice.

I'll need to restore the clean OS, and can either install Vista Home Premium or Windows 7, as you prefer. Both are genuine of course, the machine is licensed for them.

In short, it's a cracking laptop for the price, and perfect for all office applications, photo editing, checking facebook and watching BBC iPlayer on a great wide screen while lazing in bed on a Saturday morning

Priced to go at just £225 posted. (was £260)

Any questions... please ask!

Please note that anything amiss in the photos will be dust, cat hairs, or reflections from the unusually bright sunlight streaming into the lounge this morning.

Obviously not priced to go quickly enough... a reduction therefore to aid velocity!

I can put Microsoft Office 2003 Professional on it, with a genuine key. I don't use it any more; I have to use 2010 for work even though I prefer 2003!

Beeeupm! A little bit older, so a little bit cheaper. Not used since (before) I placed the advert.
