Hi there,

I need some help. I'm having a "discussion" with a friend at work about how to grip a Knife. He is saying that the best way is hold it, by the handle, with the blade facing upwards towards your opponent. I've been told that anyone who knows how to use a knife holds it with the blade pointing down towards your elbow?

Can anyone shead any light on this matter?

Thanks

This is not an appropriate forum or site for such a question.

Your friend is right.

The best way to hold a knife is by the handle! :D

Hi Wellsie & welcome.

However, Danzo is quite correct, British Blades is not the place to debate knife fighting techniques. There are other forums (see quicklinks on the homepage) where these issues can be freely discussed.

I will lock the thread, but it will still be viewable.

Please feel free to discuss many other knife related (& sometimes not) on BB:D
