I was going to buy some web dominators but they're remarkably expensive for little bits of plastic. Especially as I'll need a few of them to do the straps on my pack

I remember seeing a thread about where you could them straight from the supplier who was here in the UK (or something along those lines). I know that I could use ranger bands but am wondering if there is a more aesthetically pleasing option.

Can anyone help? I need them in the Khaki colour

Less than a pound each, not bad i suppose?

they look great Rob, thanks for the heads up. I'm assuming that their Tan is the same as the MaxP Khaki

I tend to buy in bulk from supply captain , very reasonable and quick toohttp://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm/category/30/fastex-plastic-hardware.cfm

Thanks Ru, good link! They only sell those items in Coyote Brown or Foliage Green though

EDIT - Actually I lied, i was looking at the wrong thing. This might be a mistake, there are a fair few things on there that would be useful/fun!

Went through Supply Captain process, order some paracord (which I don't really need) and Grimlocs (which I need even less) and its $12.30 for shipping. Looks like the ebay option is cheaper!

Don't see to have khaki colour though.

Thanks Ren, good find. Only problem is the £25 minimum spend and £7.50+VAT postage.

Would normally prefer to stick with the UK as its easier and quicker but at around £2 each from somewhere like Heinnie I'd rather buy from the US!

how many do you need? I went overkill with them and while I do still use some I don't bother with them everywhere

Well if i'm going to buy them i'll buy 10 as thats how many loose straps I have (5 pairs), but I've had the pack for a couple of years and not used them so could probably get by with just a few - recently for work travelling I've been taking a briefcase rather than a maxpedition pack as its a bit more professional so my maxp pack hasn't been used as much

I use these on all my packs to keep loose straps under control, really useful little things and can be used for lots of other jobs too. I use the 3" ones for straps, but they come in different lengths.

In the end I made up a whole load of ranger bands and have used those in most places. only need a couple of them know, just for the main rucksack straps
