If it was a weekend camping meet I would be well up for it-if you let Jocks that live over the bridge attend

a possible venue http://home.btconnect.com/glyn-y-mul-farm/ which you guys probably know anyway

Oh camping I had not thought of that I was just thinking of a pub meet first :D

Funny you should mention that ;) Was discussing the same thing with Warren just the other day. I'm up for it. I should warn you though, when Warren and I get going it can get scary - last time out we drank four whole tins of Coke, and it wasn't diet.

Pub meet is good. Camping is better, but preferably not in January! How about a pub meet to discuss a potential camping meet? :D

I keep meaning to go to Glyn y mul, but have never managed it - got rained off last year.

Last time Warren and I met up in Newport, but I'm not fussy about location. Anyone know a friendly landlord?

My leg's in plaster at the moment but would be up for camping in the spring no dramas. Glyn y Mul is cool and I might be able to suggest another venue by Abergavenny also allowing camp fires, dogs etc.

Just a thought. Could you incorporate a visit to Heinnies? is the showroom open weekends? Like I said, just a thought.

I think somebody mentioned that once before - nice idea innit? I don't think they normally open at the weekend. However, there are pubs in Barry (at least, I think they are allowed to call them that).

It couldn't hurt to ask (especially if people are planning on bringing their credit cards...).

We need to get the English lot to resurrect this thread (http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?110541-Heinnie-Haynes&) and sort a road trip out. Then we can meet up with the foreigners, get Bruce to open up the showroom and show them how a BB meetup ought to be done. We can have Cwm Rhondda and that English song about the Queen, buy loads of shiny stuff From Hennies and then go and admire it in one of Wales' finest hostelries. Oh wait, it's in Barry...

I've been talking to my wood guy at isca wood crafts and he is organising a woodworking show in may at tredegar house . He has asked me to stand around and turn steel into dust with my grinder:D
so if all goes well i will be there all day on the 12 of May , I know its not a knife show but I think its free entry (except for parking ) and there should be some nice bits of wood to be had

Nice one Warren. The same chap is hanging on to a bit of Thuya burl for me - thanks for the reminder!

I reckon that Tradegar house would make a good place for a meet - easy to get to, being right on the M4, and the sort of place that's worth a visit. I'll be up for that.
