I was equally impressed with what was my first ever trade. :D
My Father has been trading, part-exing air guns etc. all his life and is very good at fixing them. It has never occurred to me that it might be possible to trade blades within the UK…I buy knifes, handle them for a while then store them away. There are blades that I do carry and use, but even then I’m careful about not damaging them (will reach for a cheap blade instead). My EDC is a custom damascus folder in perfect shape, no scratches to the blade or handle, though it has been sharpened with Lanskey crock sticks a fair few times. I do have several blades that do get battered, camp/survival knives and machetes
A question, I own plenty of (Nikon) camera gear and so know the system for grading second hand equipment, but is there any such system for trading in blades?
Regards, Paul
Hi Paul
If there isn't such a scheme, and I haven't heard of one, it would be a great idea. Why not repost in the Commons so everyone sees it? I am sure it will attract a lot of interest and ideas. After which it will get moved somewhere more specific, maybe a sticky in members classified.
