Wanted to replace one burned in my fire, a GB wildlife hatchet, or as an alternative, a Small Forest axe.

why not re-harden the head and put on a new shaft?

Hi Mozzy,

That would have been great, but it was impossible to look for individual items. The company hired to clear it used a Bobcat, and just dumped the entire contents into 2 skips.

Yes indeedy, but like a fool, I didn't put it on the list.:C

I only remembered I had it when reading an axe thread yesterday.

The assessor tells me it's OK to keep adding to the list, but I added kites worth £500 yesterday, so I figure I can swallow £30 or so.

Up till now, the assessor has agreed to every item I've put on the list without hesitation, and the new gear arrives early in the new year:)
