Ibanez Electric Guitar

Hi folks

Not for me, but my sister-in-laws boyfriend is looking for an Ibanez electric guitar, budget up to £300. I don't know much about Ibanez so I've no idea if thats too much or too little.

I'm just asking here as a favour to him, so I can't guarantee anything but if anyone has anything then PM/email me and I'll pass on the details.

For that kind of thing and money it might be worth having a look at Schecter guitars as well.

Ibanez go from reasonably cheap to pretty expensive, so there should be something to fit that budget! :)

Aim for an older RG series they were good.
I've had an EX, an S series, a few RG's, a 7-string and still own a Jem!

the better Roadstar versions were very nice. you need to ask what sort of music he plays as it makes a huge differance

I've just bought an Ibanez RG. It's great and I'm unlikely to part with it for a long time :D

I suggest he buys a new guitar. An RG370DX is £280 in most guitar shops, and has a good locking tremolo set up, and sounds great. My daughter has one and she's been really happy with it.

My son has one, John 5 formerly of the rather excellent Marilyn manson band uses one and has his own forum on the net. I'm no musician but the sound quality is the best of my sons 4 guitars.

Ibanez isn't really my cuppa tea, but these Stevie Vai signature models sure are nice! :happy22:
