Howdy,

I've been lurking for a while, and have posted a couple of threads, but I never introduced myself properly.

I'm a classical musican - a singer, in fact. Originally from Toronto, I moved to the UK just over 8 years ago. I was in Glasgow for two years studying at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Following that, I sang and lived in Windsor Castle for three years. (I sang at the Royal Wedding in 98 - I even appeared in Hello! magazine, in a picture of the happy couple leaving the Quire... truly the greatest moment of my life... not... :-) ) I left Windsor to become a member of the BBC Singers, a post from which I resigned this summer to pursue my solo career. (Fingers very, very much crossed!)

I did some martial arts when I was a teenager, which is when I started to appreciate a fine piece of steel. I have not trained in well over a decade, but am planning to start attending my local dojo soon (read this Saturday if I can drag myself out of bed!)

I have a wife (a fellow Canadian), and a dog (A Japanese Akita), of whom I am rather fond.

That's about it!

I'm doing a concert in Brighton on 3 December which will feature the first part of Handel's Messiah and a Bach Cantata. After that, I am taking part in two performances in the Spitalfields Festival on 18 December, and we then take the show 'on the road' for a few performances in Spain.

If you're really desperate, I can hook you up with some MP3s!

:)

Thanks for the greetings all!

Dan
