Felleskap tip grind

Like a few others here, the post was not too kind when Trond sent my Felleskap. The tip is missing about 1mm. :(

I'm looking at trying to grind it on a bench stone and sort out the problem. The thought occurs to me that if I grind the spine it will be easier to do a half decent job because I'm not touching the bevels. I just thought that before I start it would be smart to check and see if there is a reason I should not try it this way.

Achully Jon, the grinding of the spine to bring back an tip is only bad for one reason & that is, it makes the point "drop" more (not always a bad thing;))

Just make sure that you do it barehand & stop when it starts to get more than comfortably hot & the HT will still be ok (achully, some people do prefer a softer tip, so it may not be too bad if the temper comes out of it a bit;))
