I hate to break it to you Levi but your EDC is flawed; you are missing a essential item.

The Grappling Hook

Only messing lol, you have a pretty extensive setup :biggthump Have you got any pics?

One thing I always carry is a pack of Wet Wipes. Not just for the kids, they come in handy for me all the time :)

I've not bothered with wet wipes because I already have dry tissues, hand sanitizer gel and antiseptic wipes in the FAK, so I think I have that side of things covered... I do normally have a few of the KFC wet wipes in my jacket pocket for cleaning the bike's headlight, screen etc. but they seem to be very stingy with them at the minute. The grappling hook? I'm not going to lie, I have thought about it... but really, how often does anyone need a grappling hook? Not sure how I'd explain that one.

Here's just a few pics of my manbag (Snugpack Response Pak, also available in black - a copy of the Maxpedition Proteus Versipack but costs ~£15 rather than ~£50) just so you can get a better idea of what it is I'm lugging around, but I can't be bothered completely emptying it and laying it all out :P

Pocket that's open houses the camera (in use obviously) and Deluxe Tinker. There are pen holders either side of the front pocket.

Other side pocket has all the 'hygiene' items; tissues, earplugs, lib balm, gum, hand sanitiser and mini FAK in a plastic baggie.

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/KadinskyCafe/SN150007-1.jpg

Front pocket has the little things; lighter, flash drive & card reader in one pocket - sewing kit, glue & tape in the other. There are cable ties behind the notebook at the back, and that mini screwdriver set to its side. 550 cord and Nitecore D10 fit nicely under the front pockets (behind the batteries).

And then all the bulky items in the main compartment (iPod lives in the hat to protect from scratches).

Those chocolate bars give a good indication of scale - it's not a big bag; you'd struggle to fit a packed lunch in the main compartment, yet it's laid out nicely enough to fit all the things listed above comfortably with room to spare.

Great pics, thanks.

Those Snugpak's can take some gear :D

I got the grappling hook in a trade. I'm really pleased with it although it would be difficult to justify buying one outright. I do want the larger one though :) You can buy them from County Comm; Micro Grappling Hook (http://www.countycomm.com/microhook.htm) and the Pocket Grappling Hook (http://www.countycomm.com/hook.htm).

"Used to snag trip wires or command detonation wires on IED’s in a combat environment." :D

Protrek watch - great if you absolutely must know the barometric pressure (v.approximately)
Wenger climber (I think) bit shorter than the Vic version and better scissors
Piedmont folder and custom sheath from Wolf67 - they perfect and the piedmont is sheeple friendly
Olight T20 - great easy switch between settings, has replaced my D10 & my Incendio as EDC...

Swap to a Spydie Native or Persistence at home.

Cheers

No pics ATM, but my basic EDC is as follows:

HTC Desire S phone
Seiko 6309 or Darth Tuna watch
One of: UKPK, Boker slippie subcom thing, SAK
Maxpud micro wallet
Keys with:
Limited edition Arc AAA torch
Tiny USB stick with my contact information on it
Photon
Bottle opener key
Glowring (I get up early!)

Thats it really, if I go out for a bimble I always take a more substantial knife and a lighter just in case as well as a few essentials that live in my coat pockets.

Now, the bag of stuff that lives in the back of my van, well thats another story and another thread altogether I think...

At the moment my EDC is

Samsung C3050 phone
Casio G-Shock 5600BC-1ER or GW3000-B Aviator
Civilian Lab Kevlar Clip Wallet
RA Clicky 200T
Photon Freedom

I have been looking at a new G-Shock though. Current favourite is the GW-7900MS-3ER with the cloth strap.

Nice watch, I have been eyeing up the 7900 range recently. I am sorry to admit I quite like the look of the white one...

The white version is more of a 'meh' look for me. Anyone else?.

I know what you mean, but I have a couple of black watches and fancy something different. It's definitely a bit marmite though. If I got one I would probably reverse the display on it, not overly keen on the orange eye either.

The white one does have an allure to it. I generally only like really clear watch faces and it's probably just the contrast but it looks clearer - to my tired and varifocal-ed eyes. If the black one had white rather than orange I think I'd like it more.

This thread has fizzled out a bit. Would anyone like to start it up again? Myself, i'm waiting on a maxp fatty organiser, a saddleback large bifold wallet, a county comm Ti embassy pen, a Ti clip for my white ceramic Ra clicky and then i'll be posting pics of my EDC ;)
