That's freaky Dave!!!
Mine's almost identical.....except for the light.

Nice. Do you have any particular uncomfortability carrying the larger items such as the firearm, baton and Scorpion at the same time?
I don't like the way Leatherman have made their Wave untinkerable, mine has very stiff blades and all that is needed is a turn of a screw...but instead I'll have to send it in!

Are you being paid by the "Israeli Immigration Council", trying to get new applicants?
I think that on Tuesday (a day off), I'll post a picture of whatever I carried on Monday (normal working day)...
Keith.
I got the Samsung and the wave, but i just cant seem to find a Walther (hmmm...or is it a S&W?) anywhere in Azda. Anyone know where they keep em?
Oh, BTW Tadbik, check out this site for modifications for your T100:

Today, for me, is a "light" day in terms of knife carry; I only have my Mnandi with me, along with a Victorinox Rambler that's clipped to my keychain. I often carry more than this, but today just didn't feel like schlepping around a lot of weight.
Along with said knives, I'm carrying: wallet, Arc LSH - P, disposable lighter, cigars (Italian Toscanos), roller pen, cell phone, keychain w/spy capsule, Arc AAA and Traser Glow Ring (plus the already mentioned Rambler).
Not many piccies guys. Maybe Santa will bring you a digital camera!
OK, not all carried every day, depends what the day is - "normal day", EMS day, sailing day, SIS undercover day etc., but here's a sample...
I'd list them all out, but it's much more fun to guess...
kind regards,
Simon
Hi symes

Here's mine to start off.
Mine currently is:
Spidie pride (just before I butcher it)
But Dave, I thought all you guys carried IMI Eagles in .44"Magnum:yikes:;)
Pretty funny Danzo... fortunately those guys get full-time LE to look after them...where I go you don't need to pass through a metal detector to get in...
Hey, that picture looks smaller than I thought it would, so here's the original...for the interested...
http://home.nc.rr.com/symes/edc.JPG
kind regards,
Simon
Sorry symes if that sounded facetious, I have had a difficult day having to cover lower school history classes (I teach Law in what you would call junior college as well as higher level stuff) as their teachers had gone home in tears. I would have used anything in 9mm to control the little :censored: s but that would of course be bad and wrong.
Bad Danzo
:twak:
Don't shoot the children
:AR15firin
They are our future.
Danzo
I would use a shot gun!!!! :twak: :twak:
lol
"Don't shoot the children"...
Perhaps you could follow the government's example and define yourself, instead of Teacher, as "force of occupation" in the classroom and then you could get away with it... just term it "collateral damage" and if you apologise, all the problems go away...at least for now....
LOL...
kind regards,
Simon
The author wishes it to be known that he does not condone the shooting of children in this or any other country or, for that matter, dropping bombs on them just to avoid having to do a job the proper way :banghead:
Sorry, wandered off topic....
But was impressed that you correctly identified the 9mm!!
Symes,
:35:
:beerchug:
:thanks:
Danzo
But Dave, I thought all you guys carried IMI Eagles in .44"Magnum:yikes:;)
The desert eagle was manufactured almost exclusively for the U.S. market. If you are an American, bigger is always better!
Standard issue of the Israel Police is the 9mm Jericho 941FS
Special police and army units are free to choose their pistol but most use the Glock as do the General Security Services (Shabak)
My SW99 is my own choice.
Colin KC
12-12-03, 11:16 PM
Good choice Dave, & isn't Symes' a P88 compact?
Colin KC
12-12-03, 11:18 PM
Dave, what's the semi serrated thing, you've got then? Looks solid & how do you find the Wave?

Now Tony, I like knives, but four? isn't that a bit ott? or am I missing something here?
Close on the P88....visuals are very similar... especially as I have it left side down so you can't see that there is no safety...actually Sig P226 9mm with Hogue grips... and 3x15rd mags in blackhawk pouches. Truly a delight.
Dave, what's the semi serrated thing, you've got then? Looks solid & how do you find the Wave?
Colin,
The wave is ok when you have no choice, obviously as with all these mutli tools, a real pair of pliers or screwdriver is preferable!
The wave does allow me to quickly open one of it's two blades without opening the whole tool.
As to the semi serrated thing. Do you mean the folding knife? That's a SOG PE14 Pentagon Elite. Not the most expensive knife, it won't cut through 10cm pieces of wood in one chop but I use it every day for one small job or other.
All my stuff (my original photo doesn't include all the stuff in my "war bag" that's in the boot of the car!) is for using, not for show; if I bought a Strider Knife for a large amount of cash, I'd probably be too scared to take it out of the house for fear of loosing it!
The desert eagle was manufactured almost exclusively for the U.S. market. If you are an American, bigger is always better!
i tried out an eagle on the range. it jammed at least once every clip i put through it.

I didn't say it was good, just big!

Quote:
"Now Tony, I like knives, but four? isn't that a bit ott? or am I missing something here?"
It might seem like much, but they all serve a purpose;
The Sog Flash I is my small task utlity knife, its tiny so I keep that on me clipped to my shirt or pants, it rides low, so people assume it's a pen or something.
The CRKT M16-13SF is bigger, light and has a half serrated tanto point edge, it keeps a really good razor sharp point that holds well, so I keep that for any sort of small to medium or fine cutting/chopping duty. The "LAWKS" (Lake and Walker Knife safety) lock feature works great, and this blade has shined through all the abuse I have given it.
The Emerson CQC 7 is there for when I need to chop or cut something a little heavier than the CRKT can handle, it's more for back up due to the fact that it has a heavier blade with a different design (spear point with serrations).
Last but certainly not least;
The S.O.G Desert Dagger , which is a beautiful blade, is there for any sort of larger cutting task (I know there are better blades out there for this). I fell in love with this blade after seeing the movie; "Kill Bill 1" (Black Mamba), trying to put it to use to justify the purchase, I'm sure we've all been there :)

i try not to take my spyderco police out with me now that i have a calypso jr.
you cant see my maglite and gloves too well but they are on my keys. also on my keychain i have a nemesis keychain from alton towers, a scorpion encased in plastic and something similar on my belt, house keys.
used to have my motorbikes key and a fire extinguisher pin back when i smoked had a bike.
camera is a sony p-20. its pretty small but still bulky for pocket carry. i take it out if i want to take pictures.
gloves are damascus police search gloves.
i keep knife in my front pocket and my gloves in my back pockets if im not wearing them i usually had my spyderco police in my back pocket with the dragonfly in my front.

Slidje, don't the police in Manchester get a bit miffed that you carry around two spyderco's, or does the rat just put them off searching you?!! Have had acouple of rats myself in the past, they do make excellent pets, and love their days out around town in yer armpit.

havent been searched by cops yet but id assume id go to jail. i dont carry my police if i dont have my camera, the other knife i keep on my keys so i could probably talk my way out of it. some areas around here are dodgy to be showing off a camera so i wouldnt feel safe.
rats are very smart, smarter than cats or dogs. squeeky climbs out onto my shoulder when he wants to go to the toilet so i put him down somewhere for him to do his business.
he either spends his time asleep or poking his head out of my neck or sleeve.
he doesnt behave like that at home though. sometimes when you take him out of his cage and put him in your lap he just grabs onto to your leg and unloads into your pants. ive trained him to use the tissue pile i keep on the corner of the bed but he doesnt always use it.

As a true blue American my EDC consists of a brace of Remington 12 Ga.'s carried across my back, a Desert Eagle on each hip and a six ft Hartsfield Katana. :p
My actual EDC (at least at work)
Swisstool on my belt, Nokia 3390, Rob Simonich Pikuni as a neck knife, Rick Hinderer Firetac with Mammoth Ivory, Knipstein Mammoth Ivory slipjoint, TAD Tactical wallet with a MOP slipjoint, a Surefire Z3, a Waterman fountain pen and a MT Combat Talon II in a sharkskin sheath.
Burkstar - you must have a plenty hefty belt to keep your pants up with that lot :D

You never know when a parrot may come in handy  but don't you you mean African grey there? :D for the record a european grey wolf would also do the trick :)
A p.s for my EDC... I usually carry a streamlight Scorpion in my bag when out and about and will always carry my Spyderco Salsa when out walking or logging etc, as it's still small enough to go unnoticed but the blade shape is more versatile for heavy tasks. I find the semi-serrated blade very useful.
P.S Squeeky looks very cute!

I used to have an original Leatherman (PST?) but have never owned two multi-tools at the same time so can't really compare them. But I do think that if I need a multi-tool I want one that's going to get the job done and the Swisstool is nothing if not solid.
As it's quiet I'll play :)

I like WT's Ti neckers a lot, because of its carbide edge. It holds a better edge than Mission Ti knives. A friend of mine use WT CF/Ti necker for about one year to cut fruits and envelops without sharpen it. It still held very good edge. Very nice necker indeed!

Yes and they all have them . Some people dont like them and think they shouldnt be there on a knife of that value but its all part of the things that make it a Sebenza .

This is from the Chris Reeve website
'This is a tooling or locating hole and, in the finished knife, has no real function. The process goes something like this: we buy titanium in sheet form and cut it into rectangles approximately the size of the handle. We drill all the holes into this rectangle which is then placed onto a fixture, held secure by locating pins through these holes. The profile of the handle is then machined and the rectangle begins to look like the handle of a folding knife. It is at this stage that we select left or right-handed knives. One hole becomes part of the pivot assembly while the other is left vacant. Sometimes, however, we use the hole as part of the graphic on the decorated models and, on occasion, enlarge the hole and inlay a cabochon or coin into it. '

radioactive glow tube thingy, swiss tech mutil key, car key, Res-Q-Me tool, 'nemesis' bottle opener, flat key with entry tab and mini swiss champ.
Spyderco Pride - which I may butcher, definitely taking of the 'stars and stripes' badge whatever!

baccy tin o'stuff, QIII and a SAK Spartan (corkscrews are invaluable)
And in the baccy tin;
http://static.flickr.com/50/109629534_35cbec2840.jpg?v=0
portex resus valve and face mask, pair of disposable rubber gloves (held with rubber band), piece of string, two mini faux photons from ZDP, alcohol swabs, lots of tablets of 400mg Ibuprofen, IKEA pencil, EKA small folding knife with bottle opener (bought from MOTW), couple of odd sized sheets of elastoplast, steristrips, piece of card holding heavy weight black thread+a large eyed needle
Also in the front of the bag is a high-vis vest for when I ride my push bike to the station or of course if someone decides to do naughty things to the tube system again, theres also a spring loaded centre punch (do a better job on tube windows that the Res-Q-me) and a triangular bandage.
As you can see my EDC is geared to normal life and doing bits and the work bag supplements are there in case 'the need' ever arises (hope not)!

any new ones?
I've recently started adding these to my EDC.
Basically, because I get sick and tired of seeing cans of pop, plastic bottles, etc. dumped eveywhere when I'm out walking. I used to role my eyes and moan about 'who are the idiots that dump this stuff', but then I decided rather than raise my blood pressure, I'd pick it up. Hence the plastic bags.
Of course I may have to rethink if Brown and his lackies come after me for using plastic bags! Little bit of politics there, my name's Ben Elton, goodnight!
Cheers.

It's the same length as a classic, but about three times the thickness so it's pretty much square, end on.

Here it is my actual EDC.
It was updated today with the Wee NS.
That I must say, Rob has a excelent customer service. When the package was thought to be lost, he was more than happy to send a 2nd one, but unusually the 1st package arrived today with a HUGE delay.

If you're having trouble with pics or posting there's help in "Problems, Suggestions and Help". Theres nothing to stop you starting your own 'practice' thread there either.

not pmc as such (yank term).
close protection yes mainly afganistan. not in contract at mo tho as there was a big cutback as the industry is just on a recession (isnt everything)
nezza, in the pics we have g36's as main, and the pistols we carry are glocks, though everywhere else ive had m4's and usually a sig, though for a newer contract once, at the start we had old aks and makarov pistols!
ak= great and reliable, as long as what youre shooting at is only about 10 feet away!
makarov= id rather eat my own penis!

you know what, i used to feel exactly the same, but theyre dreadful. they dont feel cheap, dont get me wrong, for its size, if you threw it at them, youd do some decent damage, but theyre dangerous, they go off of their own accord, or dont go off at all, or variations of this theme. nice with ivory handles and nickel plated on your wall if youre a north african warlord though.

I've heard ALOT of good things about them, Sigs are qaulity weapons mate :)
hi falster
which model glock is it?
do you prefer the sig because it's da/sa and it gives you more options like the safety of a long first trigger pull and also the accuracy of a light single action if you need to make an accurate shot?
also, how does the trigger pull on a glock compare to the sig, is it closer to the double or single action?
thanks mate

Yup, that's keys. A "keyport slide" www.mykeyport.com
Very cool
Just a list because I can't be bothered laying all this stuff out for photo's; there is a LOT!
Pockets

Basic leather wallet with cash, cards, receipts, tickets etc. plus some blank index cards for notes
iTP A3 EOS stainless steel torch
Keys for home, bike & topbox. Also have a Victorinox Manager (includes pen) and a 'fauxton' on the keyring.
Cigarettes
Zippo lighter
Manbag
Some cheapo 'magic' and some SealSkinz gloves
Cheapo 'beanie' hat
Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ sunglasses
Samsung NV12 camera
SD card reader & microSD to SD converter
160GB iPod Classic
Cheap JVC isolating earphones
Mini FAK with the usual bits
Victorinox Deluxe Tinker
Mini screwdriver set (few small Torx and Philips bits)
Tissues
2 x AA & 2 x AAA batteries
Notebook with a stamp, envelope, Post-its and rubber bands in the fold-out pocket
2 x cable ties
Small length of 550 cord
Super glue
Insulation tape
Measuring tape
Disposable lighter
4GB flash drive
Glowstick
Pen & Sharpie
Lip balm
Chewing gum
Hand sanitiser
A pair of earplugs
A couple of chocolate bars or biscuits
Nitecore D10 torch
Mini sewing kit
Motorcycle Tankbag
Bigger FAK
Victorinox SwissTool X with screwdriver bits and wrench
Spare bulbs
2 x Glowsticks
Alan key & spanner (I forget the sizes, but just the most common for my bike)
2 x Pairs of earplugs
Helmet camera (when it's not on my helmet)
Visor cleaner & cloth
Rain dispersant
Insurance, MOT, Licence & related documents (actually in my jacket pocket)
Spare pair of leather gloves
Flourescent vest
Fold up rucksack
Spare indicator lens cover

2 x Cable ties
Large length of 550 cord
Small can of WD40
Cloth
Latex gloves
And I must of forgotten something :D
Obviously I don't carry it all. The tankbag stays on the bike (my only means of transport so it's usually with me if I go anywhere :P), and my manbag will go with me in the topbox and then spends most of its life in my office at work, strapped round my waist or in the fold up rucksack if I want to look a little less 'dorky'. So essentially if you ever meet me I will have all this stuff with me, even if it's not all on my person at the time.
I still have a bit of room in my manbag if anyone has any suggestions for stuff I've overlooked :P

use it for everything from cleaning specs to using as a scarf if I'm cold.

Microfibre cloths and towels are awesome, I carry one in my bag, truck, at work etc etc.
They are great for cleaning cars especially windows and cleaning knives prior to taking photos.

Ah yes, the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have. Don't forget you can wrap it round your head to protect you from the ravenous bugblatter beast of Traal (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A387029).
