I am looking fot a Buck 110 with a BG42 blade.

Dont mind if it is new or used so long as it is not cream crackered.

Anyone got one/can get one?

Harvey,

A daft question perhaps, but how do I know whether it's a BG42 blade?

I do have a boxed unused 110 that I bought in Canada three years ago, but as it and I are currently in different countries I can't check it out untill next weekend. If there's an easy way to tell I could get SWMBO to look.

Only the buck master series or a custom order from the shop would have a bg 42 blade.

Hi,

Just for info, the blade has clearly etched "BG42" on it near the pivot.

My Buck 110 has Nickel Silver bolsters nice green stabelized wood inserts without the regular trademark of pins sticking through it.

It's just a beauty even thow the blade is a little off center when closed. :)

Cheers,

Bagheera

I have to ask bagman, why a 110?

I really like the old one that I have had for years but the 425 IIRC steel is far too soft and it needs resharpening too often.

I think they are a very comfortable folder for "hard use" as they have a full size handle without clips etc to "attack" your hand.

puma make a nice set of lock backs some even shaped like the 110
but the steel is much better.
