View Full Version : Colins KITH knife
I got the knife when i got home from my x-mas wacation.
It is a great litle knife heres colins discription of the materials he used:
Thunderforge damascus (#1 nickel twist I think) three finger knife, flat gring, bark mammoth ivoryslabs, plain brass pins. You can probably see the temper line.
I have had the knife for two weeks now, and i am getting more and more fond of it, the knife i small only 135 mm overall.
the blade is very precicely flat grinded, with a secondary bevel. the bevel is right in the senter, (wich i can say is not allways easy to do) the pattern is perfectly acided? (keith dave? Syret) the handle fit is also perfect.
I have used the knife for small jobs, as i guess it is ment for. Like opening parcels, coffe bags and clencing my dirty fingernails. The wide blade has got excelent shape for undressing game animals. Also to put butter on the bread slices.
I am going to make a neck sheath for it, cause it is light and i am going to wear it every day, cause this is a knife for all kind of everyday purposes!
So if anyone wonders, and if Colin is willing to sell/ Make HURRY and order one and find out for yourselves
Thank you VERY much colin!
Here is a Piccie

Etched, Trond. Sometimes, people say "the pattern is revealed" by the acid.

Where Dave is from, you don't need a knife to undress the game ones...
I suppose Col's little beauty cuts through the foil on an Akvavit bottle very nicely?
