specs:
The blade is forged and ground from W5 (silver steel) which has been water quenched and torch tempered, the blade is also flat ground and is mirror polished.
The guard is made from copper wire, the handle material is holly wood.
The sheath is veg tan leather with wire stiching.
Lets say £50 inc special delivery

I see you finally got around to making a sheath for it, then Jon.
These photos look a lot better than the early ones. You got a new camera?
In a discussion with Al on rec.knives I posted the analysis of silver steel, and he reckoned it was more like W5...
You want to try quenching in glycering for a really, really hard edge (but be warned, it may be too brittle for bushy blades... would make a good meat slicer, though).

thanks keith i do have a new camera its a nikon 4300
Jon makes very good knives, folks. I would buy this but I have a baby due in about ten minutes. On and off for the next fortnight.
