Just got my new aquisition from Jason Cutter, & it's great!

Sheath is well made & definately over engineered, belt loop is reinforced with Kydex, Jason's paracord catch works fine, blade needs to be a bit more snug in sheath, but that's just a niggle.

Mortised handle is exceptionally well fitted & fit overall is v good.

Finish isn't up to top maker standards, but Jason is aware & price reflects this.

Overall, knife is comfortable & will serve me well for a camping knife, it didn't arrive "scary" sharp, but this is a good thing & the flat grind is just about perfect for a knife of this type.

Design & user friendliness gets a 8/10
Fit & finish gets a 7/10
Value for money 9/10
Overall a good knife & Jason is a gent to deal with, a strong 8/10.

Ooh, now that looks nice! :D

What are the dimensions on that one?

I've been admiring Jason's work over at the CKD, he's been putting together some very nice designs and he's not afraid to use a wide range of material.

I can see one of his boot-knives in my future.

Yes Roger, it is, isn't it:D

It's 8 1/2" o/all, 4 1/8" blade, sharpens up nice & rides very high on the belt.

Not bad for £101.13 (250.00 Aus$, incl shipping, no import duty :p ) & letter postage to Oz;)

I would heartily recommend his work, the morticed handle is superb (easily the best part of the knife) & the join is all but invisible;)

Pretty. Very nice - expecially given the price.

Any chance of some closeups on the handle join and how the quick snap is attached at the back of the sheath?
