To be honest, Mark and I will probably be going without the curry. As you know, I dont eat curry and and we would rather go somewhere that will feed both of us to satisfaction :D
Any other recommendations for chinese restaurants or similar Ken?

I thought it best to put my name in red (you know why, Ken, Si, Wayne & the as does the anonymous chef at the curry house near Jack Jacks who is worrying about the explosive qualities of the ingredients for the hammerin;))

This is from Ken's BB/Spyderco thread:
One or two people have asked for details about the forthcoming event so I hope that this helps.
Saturday 3rd Feb 2007
I have hired the upstairs room (very grotty to be honest) in the Cardigan Arms on Kirkstall Road in Leeds. We are limited to 50 people! The room will be available from 12.00 noon until 17.00. The Sheesh Mahal is next door virtually and for those not happy with Indian cuisine there are many more food outlets very close by. A cinema and bowling alley as well as a selection of drinking houses are also within a hundred yards of the Cardigan Arms.
Sunday 4th Feb 2007 Spyderco “Mini Show”
At the Royal Armouries in Leeds from 12.00 onwards in the Theatre of War. Sal Glesser and the team will be showing us some of their latest designs. Ed Schempp will be sharing his vast knowledge of cutting competition knives. The room holds 117 so we still have space for more attendees! I am planning a coffee/tea break at 14.30
We have the room until 17.00 when the Museum closes.
After a swift pint or two at the Cardigan Arms......or where ever you prefer, we are having a curry (if your name is down) at the Sheesh Mahal, starting at 19.00. Last year it worked out at about £14.00 a head.
There is a Curry on the Saturday;)

Banjo beat me to it, were going curry-tastic both nights :D
The reason for an 'official' curry on Sunday is because there will be more people on the Sunday and thats the main day of the weekend to be honest.

So this list is for numbers for the curry on the Sunday evening then?
I gather most people are staying over till the monday then? We have a 5 hour trip back home on the Sunday so even if I did like Curry we couldnt make it!

Hi Ken
I will have to remove my name from the Sunday Curry.
I'm afraid I won't be at the Sunday curry. I'd sort of assumed that the Sunday one was the Saturday one, if that makes sense!

Curry both nights? EXCELLENT!:D
Ken.
Apologies, I'm going to have to drop out of the Sunday night curry, getting back on the train at that time in the evening was proving a technical nightmare, that's unless someone is going to the curry and driving back Sun evening down the M1? :)

From the RA website:
Places to Eat
The museum offer plenty of choice when it comes to food. On the ground floor near the main entrance is the Nelson Bistro, serving a full range of meals, snacks and drinks. On the the 2nd floor and 4th floors next to the lift area are cafes serving snacks, cakes and drinks. The 4th floor has a seating area for those who bring their own food.

To be honest, I dont recall the food being too bad at the Armouries. HWTHMBO and I had lunch at the 2nd floor cafe, I think I had a jacket spud and salad and he had a baguette. It was much more edible than McDonalds I can assure you ;)

Whats the score this time with the curry? I know there will be a lot of us there again, but I would like some Kena nann and rice as well us mushroom bahji and a pashwari curry.
It was really nice last time, but is it possible to get a list together for what we might want so its not just a fixed menu?:)
Wayne
For the numbers concerned Asram prefers(as far as possible) to have a fixed menu meal I have just talked to him and he tells me that naan bread are no problem Colin is down for his Phal and I have some veggie stuff orderd too....on the night we can sort out some mushroom /onion bhagees.
It is £12.00/ head plus beer. I'd appreciate if everyone can have the appropriate funds on them.....it is a bit of a messing around job sorting out the bill but I can't see an easy way around it. :)
Looking forward to it Gents....and gentesses! ;) :D

I left the Saturday night open for this very reason. Of the 50ish people attending there are some who will prefer other types of food and those who do decide to have a curry in the Sheesh Mahal (or wherever, the Last Viceroy is only a short ride away and is well worth a visit) you can have a meal of your choice at your own pace.
Some people might not want to be smelling of curry at all! ;) ;) :O

plan the return trip carefully! A guestimate would be a stop every 15 minutes or 25 miles which ever comes first! :O
A pack of chilled baby wipes as a part of the first aid kit would be very handy too though you will have to draw straws for who is going to be the first aider for the trip! :C :O ;)
