This has been already suggested on the "Items Wanted" forum, but it gets little exposure.
This

or this

is what it is all about.
I am about to order one (not quite sure short or long jacket yet) and wanted to know if others were interested. Maybe enough for a group buy?
I haven't spoken to them yet so do not know if they would do that but I offer to organise it if there is enough interest
PS: Never organised a group buy before, so if someone has good tips they will be well received

don't do it
It's not so bad if it's all UK, if exchange rates come into play it's a nightmare
Keep a spreadsheet from the start listing who wants them how many they want if they've paid or not ad if you've got their address.
make instructions very clear and make sure that people put their User Name on any payments. I also find it saves time if people give you their address in a layout that allows you to copy them into word and you can just print the list off and stick the addresses to the packages rather then writing them all out

Thanks Andy
Very sound advise. If this one doesn't happen I'll make a note for the next one. Exactly the sort of stuff that goes without saying, but goes A LOT better if it's shouted ;)

Follow MagiKelly's examples; eg here (http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27521), and especially this bit:
Ordering & Payment
This group buy is running on three forums so it is vital you follow the ordering procedure to make sure I do not go crazy. In the event of a mistake and me not being able to match your payment up I just keep the money or the stuff and feel no guilt
Post on this thread saying what you want then send a PayPal payment to John "AT" <snip>, Make sure you include your username, the forum and the detailed list of what you are ordering. Remember if you miss this I keep your stuff or money
Oh, and don't forget the effort involved in making up 10 or 20 parcels

Actually, there might be a project here for a couple of people. Someone who has run a UK based group buy and an International based group buy.
If someone wants to write up what it takes to run one of either types then I will put it up as a sticky here in the forum. I'm thinking about all the things you have mentioned in previous posts, costing of packaging, tips for keeping track of payments/addresses, coping with fees, postage costs and so on.
It would make a good and useful addition I think.

I tried to start writing one a while ago
I shall finish it
Have you ordered one yet?
St John don't seem to have them listed online so our group may get one for duties
