I had to leave the meet up early but would just like to say what a great time I had and a big thank you to Sal and the rest of the crew involved including our own UK Ken for organising this second meet.
I wish I had had the chance to stay and have a chat with Sal, it's nice in business these days to come across someone who is obviously such an honorable and decent chap.
So thank you Sal and thank you Spyderco, long may you continue to make sharp things:)

Hear, hear RJ ;)
Sam, Tom and I had a really good day :)
We even had a BB picnic at the back of the room. Mrs Eyewash had kindly packed 12 floury baps and a bag of 12 chocolate muffins between the 3 of us  So a few of us tucked in. Diamond Dave has 'Muffin Radar' when he's hungry :D
Thanks very much indeed to all concerned.

Can I add my thanks to the crew and to everyone who made a noobie really welcome.

Thanks to all who organized a very memorable weekend. :)
It was great to finally meet a few more people from further afield.
Did anyone else notice that know one actually looks anything like you think they will? :)
But once you speak to them you can still pick up on their sense of humour and interests.
I thought the two day event worked a lot better than last year. We had more time to talk about our own interests on the Saturday then a whole day to spend on the Spyderco stuff!
As Andylaser said to me, just the curry alone was worth the trip.
I'm looking forward to next year already if it happens again.

Many Many thanks to the spyderco team and Ken.
Thanks also to Everyone who came up and introduced themselves and saved me asking the awkward question "so who are you then?:D "
Thanks for everyone else as well for making me instantly feel comfortable and even better not ashamed to show off my small offerings.
Special Thanks also to ANDYLASER and Mr Yarrow For finding me and My G/f a place to stay without Taking the **** out of me for being a complete prat  .
Without them I would have had to call it a done trip on Sat and missed the whole point of the weekend ( The Armories and Spyderco)
All in all a pretty good weekend ... Would have been great except for my stupidity.

it was great to meet all you guys, i really had fun

I have always quite liked Spyderco knives but having been to the event in Leeds and realised how much thought and care they put into getting their knives right has made me an even bigger fan.
I was amazed that some knives had been in the design phase for twenty five years just waiting for the material science to catch up.
Best of all, what a nice team they appear to be, genuinely into what they do and very honest about their business and knives.
A huge thank you from me.

My thanks to everyone from Spyderco, Ken and Si for making Sunday possible. It was a great event and so nice to meet everyone for the first time. Looking forward to the next meet in 2008.
Wow. What a great weekend.
What a warm and friendly bunch.
I have learned so much about knives and knife making and drinking.:happy23:
Thank you all for tolerantly answering my really dumb questions, entertaining Lidia and giving her a slight interest in knives. She had a long conversation with Gail and says she is going to kikmyas wherever that is.
Thanks to all who arranged the meet in Leeds, don't think I would have made it had it been anywhere further. I wasn't sure about Spyderco until the meet, being a Spyderco virgin I am now converted and will be looking for my first purchase today.
I have seen a couple I want already.
One of these:

Thank you for your time Sal and the Spyderco crew it was great to meet you all.
What a great day, thanks to all the people that made it happen
Tiffers looked a little scared while the knives were being passed round though

What a great event!
Just got back from traveling so I am knackered!
Ken, you did a bang up job there mate and I am very grateful for all your hard work! Si and Bardster were bloody brilliant helping out and I can honestly say Bardster has some wicked sharpening skills going on!:D
Great to meet Sal, Gail, Ed, Eric and Jur again, generous as ever and a pleasure to listen to.
Unless you have attended a Spyderco meet or spent any time with Sal and the gang, you just cant appreciate how approachable and honourable Sal and the gang are.
Gail, as ever was the heart and soul of Spyderco! Great fun as ever and more spirit than ever before, if thats possible!
Curry was superb and it was great to wander round the Armoury a bit before the show, though you could spend two days there and not see everything you want to. Those Katana and Wakizashi blades were astonishing to behold.
Real shame you were not feeling well Danzo, but I hope you enjoyed yourself?
My hat goes of toColin though and his efforts to get that massive bowie made and finished. The hours put into this project and stress were obvious to any of us who know Colin and I was very moved with your speech Colin! Bloody good show all round!
Nice meeting Peter and his better half, Edd and Jenny as well.
Now who's going to mention Andy having more chillie courage than Colin?
You guys and gals are all great in my book!

Colin, I'm just glad to see that you are home and in one piece! I was fairly worried about you!
Well done though for what you achieved. I think very few would have had the "upandatem" to go for a second blade in such a short time!

A big, big thanks from me to Sal, Gail, Eric, Ed and Jur for a wonderful two days, despite me feeling like I'd been run over by a bus.
It was a real pleasure to see their interest in all the knives we had on display on Saturday, and the show on Sunday was great. Their are some must-haves on my list now!
:D
Also big thanks to Ken for organising so much so well, Si for coordinating a lot of stuff on Sunday, and last but not least to Colin for what it became apparent were truly heroic efforts to get the wonderful presentation Bowie completed in time.
To you all:
