I am thinking a little ahead of my self here .
I am going to be holding a sword themed hammer in in the spring (probably march ) and hopefully a weeks sword making class (instructor to be anounced but Im in discussions with one of the best ) .
I am going to make this a little above the ordinary and hope to have a world class gathering .
Does anybody know of a skilled sword cutter?

Not seen the workshop but they specialise in hand forged weapons. I have always taken smith to mean hot and hit as in blacksmith forge type work and presumed this was the case with Raven. They describe themselves as:

"a small company of English Sword Smiths, producing less than two hundred and fifty swords a year. Every item we create is hand made, with quality materials and meticulous attention paid to every detail and accuracy."

I am sure someone on here will know for definate though.

I did wonder a bit when I misread the earlier post as wondering who to invite to help teach. Especially having seen your swords first hand! :happy22:

hey Owen

what sort of targets were you thinking of cutting ... and what sort of swords.... a person who has practiced cutting with a katana may find it difficult ith a straight sword... and i have seen a tameshigiri specialist, who was used to cutting straw, drp his sword when trying to cut a cheaper tyre/stuffed with hard brown bamboo target

cheers
