You better hope you catch something or Hugh will be cooking the bait!
:D
What sorta fishing Ross?
My beautiful wife got me a 'River Cottage fishing day' with Hugh for my 30th - our for 1/2 a day with the curly haired one himself and then cooking the catch.
To say I'm looking forward to it would be the understatement of the year!

With very good reason!
Sounds excellent!
I like Huge Furry Whittling Tool, his programmes are easy to watch and just drag you right in. Some find him a bit preachy, but not me. His comments on eating vast amounts ov E numbers and who knows what else strikes a chord with me. I would love it if Ray teamed up with him and did some really good programmes.

Total fan of the man myself, if's he's on then i'll watch it (normally for the umptenth time), can't wait for the new series :)
I think that it's a modest sign of a small but growing rationality in TV cooking programmes that we have Hugh, the Wild Gourmets, Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver going out shooting etc.
I'd like to think that the urban chattering elite who run TV have realised that we need to get back in touch with our agrarian heritage.
I've been wrong before, though.

Did anybody notice on the show last night, Hugh used an opi to prepare the rhubarb for his mackerel dish!!
And in the advert for the show in the Guardian a while ago he slices a fish with the most darlin 4" rapala fillet ever seen - birch handle with a beautifully verdigris'd brass bolster
spent some idle time in a Liverpool bookshop poring over his last book - God knows why I didn't buy it, its great
