close ups of hamon

that's come along fine, jon ........ the hamon is like a misty mountain scene on an early summer morn' in Northern Japan, is that Mount Fuji near the tip, almost lost in the clouds?
I hope to see a collar of some sort, for as it stands, it looks naked, as if something is missing ... something in silver to match the menuki, perhaps?

I love that hamon ! Agree with Mushi that it looks naked, and would be even nicer with a habaki / collar in silver or something. Perhaps even something like this http://home.mchsi.com/~samonji/habakitutorial1.html

How did you do the HT? was it differential heat treatment using clay ?
What kind of steel did you use ??
