This is the sort of blade you can turn out if you come to Owen's.
About 18 layers twisted then stacked 4 or 5 times. Blade welded, forged and rough ground in an afternoon.

Nice curly swirlies JackJack :happy15: I can see why Col calls it "Fishy", but there's definitely nothing dodgy about it. Nice !
One day, some day, I'll get around to finishing the blade I made at Owens too.

Dont take this the wrong way Jack-Jack....you're a git!
I mean this in that mine went tits up and split, yet you manage this beauty. You do yourself a diservice by inferring this can be knocked up by attendance at Owens alone. It takes a level of skill and experience to produce this and you've got that mate through hard work :biggthump
You should show more stuff you make and more importantly make more stuff (as long as you dont quench it in water).

Col saw me scrawling the shape out on the raw block of wood trying to make a fish shape. It didn't look good. I thought I'd give it a go anyway, and take it bit by bit so that I could turn it into a more traditional scandi if it didn't look like it was going to work. It turned out OK in the end.
You really can knock something like this out easy if you come to a hammerin. Just don't use the same forge as Mr Yarrow - he's a jinx.
