Those blades are really beautiful, but remember, the colours are from tempering, and will come off when used.
I think the damascus i made from pure nickel and iron, with a steel core.
Poul is a great damascus smith!

Yes, Poul Strand's blades really are spectacular.

Maybe he'll do you a better price if you buy fifty or a hundred of them ;)

KKK.

I have met Mr. Strand twice, in Paris and in Thiers.
Really nice guy and he even had time to see my poor knives in Thiers.
I have a good pic of him drinking beer, somewhere here...
So what I want to say is...: good lad and exelent blades!
He is one of my (few) heros.

I have wanted to work with one too. I had my eye on #2. I'm not good enough yet to produce a handle and sheath that wouldn't let the blade down. Maybe later this year.

If our next collaboration (one after the the Lauri PT) works out, maybe we can work again on a Poul?

No I agree here. These would be cupboard queens. i have a vision of a shaft with the same colouring as in the fires of hell knife and one of these blades. it'd look great.

Zed... you never know before you know you know....;)

Does anyone have a link to Poul's web page (if there is one)? I have lost any ability to use Google :(

Nice blades, but they are more colorfull than usefull..
Not that can not be used, but they will become fade in time of use...

Rather go for blades from Robert Mattsson ....

He makes som awsome explosive damascus blade
