After my initial shock and awed reaction, I think the most telling thing is that it looks as if it were a custom collabotation between two makers, because the engraving looks completely at home on the knife and complements it perfectly. Looks like a $1,000 knife.
Is it yours, or a commission?

This is the way I like it.
The engraving complements the knife and lifts it up to a higher level.
Sometimes the engraving can dominate and make the knife disappear.
But this a perfectly balanced.
Great job.

This is getting boring Darren ;) all of your work is world class!
Hi Guys, and thank you so much for the nice words, your all to nice.
Dan this was a commission work for a dealer in Washington State. this knife is just wonderful, the action is soooo smooth, with just the perfect "Click" when it opens and closes, and absolutely no play.
The liners are jeweled as well. I would be happy to forward this dealers contact info to you if your interested.
Thank again.
Darren

That would be cheap for a Phil Boguszewski Folder. I'd guess this particular one would be in the $1500 to $2000 range. ;)
Fabulous work, as ever Darren.

Excellent work Darren .... of course! :)
I start looking at the plain bolsters on my folders wondering what they would look like with engraving. My poor wallet :(

Darren that engraving has a certain quality which I really really like - in the picture it looks as though the relief ( is that the right term for the raised areas or have I got it the wrong way round ... any way ...) has a really beautiful flow and depth to it.
Its a pity our little project didn't come to fruition - but if I can get a knife maker to build the design I 'd still want you to do the engraving.
Cheers,
Stephen

That really is superb work. You are a real artist!
So much better than the stuff you see in museums these days.
