Hi folks
A long time ago, when we were but a small clan, we purchased a knife for a passaround. Everybody used it and then commented. I was the only one who was ambivilent. I fact I didn't really like it.
I was, at the time, going through the birth of my lovely baby Sammi Lou.
We raffled the knife and of course I won. Vampires always win.
So I need to review this knife again.
It takes a big man to say he was wrong. Well, I'm a big man, bigger than I would be if I ate more salads and drank less beer.
I was wrong.
The Gene Ingram #30 with bone scales is a beautiful knife. I love it. If I was to be turned into the woods it would be my second choice of knife. The S30V blade is awesome, the handle is lovely and it has a great sheath.
It is a superb example of the art of the maker. Next time I go pig hunting in New Zealand it would be my first choice as a hunting knife except.........
..........I have a Convex Hunter, handmade by Guycep.
Purely personal choice. But it is a better knife.
I'm gonna keep the Ingram for a while. I like it. But we have makers in this Country as good or better than anything you will get from the USA or anywhere else.
Check them out.
