Anyone heard of them?
Sweet little lockback in our local junk shop."
Lockback, stainless",written on blade along with the words "imperial,USA"
at the base.
They want 25£ for it but is it tat?
It seems well made>

I don't know about the Frontier brand, but my own limited experience of Imperial knives is that they're on a par with Richards of Sheffield. Bolsters and scales in one piece each side of the handle with a metal tag going over the end of the liner to hold it in place. Not the quality end of the market. They also made cheap novelty knives. Some were very small (1" closed) for the Christmas Cracker end of the market, I suppose.

Not to be confused with Imperial Schrade who made very good knives in the US & Ireland. Now sadly gone.

Hope this helps.

Used to see them advertised in Gun's and Ammo back in the 80's.
They usually have a hunting horn motif on the scales.
I doubt they have much value, they were low priced knives then.
