Hi all
I think I have pretty much made up my mind on a EDC. The U1 seems like a nice little knife for reasonable money. i would really like a Shing, but can't afford one at the mo.
I have had a look around online, but can't find many places that sell them. Can anybody recommend any online stores that sell them.
Cheers

Cheers for that
I did have a look at heinnie, but they seemed expensive, at least compared to ebay which is the only other place I found had them.
All the best

http://www.moonrakerknives.co.uk/fallknivenf.htm Got one for my brother here, it's slightly cheaper than Heinne
Nice knife.
Cheaper from the US companies/ebay - though customs, etc migh equal all that out. So you could easily be better off buying from Heinnie.
The U2 was one of the first knives that I bought with any conscious knowledge of what I was doing. Of its ilk, I still think it is the best by many many leagues
(it is not with out a slight degree of discomfort that I admit to owning three of the little perishers now)
Just did a little check
cheapest ebay.com U2s are $65-70 = £36.50 - £39.50
There are people on ebay.co.uk selling the U2 for £41.95 plus £2.95 postage. (£44.90)
Heinnie is £47, postage free, and a national treasure deserving of everyone's support!!!

Yep. Heinnie. Great service! 18 of my 19 Fallknivens I've got at Heinnie's.
Kind regards,
Jos
Price has gone up the U1 was around £80 when I got my first now its closer to £100 :(
you could keep an eye on here - stick a wanted up you never know - i've sold 2 on here myself :)
Ah! I knew I was numberlexic to a certain extent, but that is ridiculous! I better go see the vet.
Std. U1 is $116 - which is about £65 - which puts a different complexion on things
Sold my U1 - didn't get along with it
I liked them but i felt they were over priced - found nothing I couldn't do with a ALOX SAk blade

i've got a U1, and a UKPK, but tbh, i find myself using the Victorinox Solo i got in the summer santa thing.
EDC to me is something that cuts well that i don't mind losing - like Corso said, an SAK will cover most things for ordinary edc

Hi again guys
Does anybody know if Wandering Blade is on holiday or unwell? Have sent a couple of emails but not had a reply.
Cheers
Dan
He has been banned here.
Have you considered more traditional folders
A few nice ones have been in Members Classified recently
Or PM Pennillion and see if he has anything he's looking to dispose of:)

Thanks for that Fluffy. I was also looking at Shing slippys, which are absolutely gorgeous, but too expensive for me at the moment. Other than that, I couldn't really find anything I liked as much as the U1. As I will be using it as an EDC for opening boxes, etc, I thought I would go with a manufacturer I had heard of, and who have had good reviews.
I have now heard form Mike (Wandering Blade) and will be ordering a U1 today. He also sells F1 blade blanks, so I think I will get one of those too and make my own handle.
Cheers
Dan
