Just recieved a SanRenMu GF170 from Dan, making me the first in the country with one :)

First things, I'm sure Dan will do a group buy for these soon, and I don't think he paticularly wants a shed load of PMs so be patient guys, I'm gonna get at least a couple more when he's ready for another GB.

This knife is basically a slimmer simplified sliplock version of the SRM 710. It has a sub 3" blade so is perfectly legal carry and is the best knife I've found to pop on my keys size wise so far.

I really like the little blade, edge retention seems good but I haven't managed to put it through much yet, positive "lock" open could be stronger but is adequate (about the same as a non locking SAK).

For the price that these will end up being, I'd say everyone should own one a simple stylish non aggresive legal EDC! You don't see that often! :)

A couple of good things are the logo is not particularly deep, and the slab material isn't too thick or too hard to be drilled and tapped as a liner. I could see this with some G10, mammoth, or something. Also, the blade is the same profile and sharp edge as the familiar SRM718.

I'm not sure about the GB though...

I like the look of it. I gave my FIL a couple of the other ones and he loved them but kept loosing/breaking them. Think I'll get a couple if/when there is a chance. Nice clean lines. Great Stuff.

I think is is fair to say you have done enough group buys to last you a lifetime! :happy65:

Definately looks eminently moddable, and if Dan runs a GB on them I'll be getting several to mod and give as gifts.

Holy heck it's sharp!

This one is going to have some custom scales made for it and go on to my Dad as a present.

If Dan does a group buy on these, I'm having half a dozen of them to mod as presents.

Same here. would be brilliant for me to get a few of these and mod them to give as presents at my wedding instead of buying some opinels (which is what i'll probs end up doing).

Anytime you want to run the GB, kick off. I'll post one package only and that'll be to you to forward on, as long as there are at least two dozen people on the GB.

That offer is only to Dave. Only he can run the GB. No other GB on SRM knives will be done before that.
