Seems it's been a while since anything has happened in the North West.
Anyone up for a meet?
For location perhaps somewhere from Bangor to Chester/Liverpool?
As for what? Curry, Pie and a pint, winter BBQ or someone's shed/workshop/country house?

what about dates?
End / of October? November? December?
I would say the Chester area would be most accessible for other members (all welcome!) though i dont know the pubs or other very well around there.

chester sounds good - central for all! i'm in chester every tuesday - i could do a bit of research if no-one else has any recommendations?
Would a Saturday be best for most ppl?
By the way the is a good train connection in cheater for ppl thinking of travelling a bit of distance.

Seems the ball is rolling :)
Looks like Chester, Saturday and the 1st or 8th.
So Day time or evening? Daytime, think we would need to find a pub with a room so we can bring the shiny stuff. Evening then we have loads of choices.
So:
Day or Evening
1st or 8th
Once we can narrow that down then the rest will fall into line.
Chester is only two hours from Nottingham if those Eastern bods were considering :D
Dont mind day or evening but wouldn't day time be better for show and tell??

We are considering.
;)
Marcus, you need to book a venue on a firm date and simply insist that people come. I've asked many of the EMCCU crew why our meetups work, and one thing that comes back is simply force of personality. I tell people we are meeting and they come. That may sound horribly arrogant, but it does seem to be the underlying reason.
You're much the same as me, personality wise, so I'd suggest you assume full control. Bully people into attending, it's the only way.

Lol I've never noticed this part of the forum before. I saw North West and It caught my eye. I'm in Lancashire.
Is this just a general meet?

Well, looks like the other meet is on. It's a but further than I would normally like but maybe only an an extra 40 mins or so.

If most people are happy to travel then I don't see the point in doing two meets. However, if the majority want something a little closer then I'll organise something.
