Well i was as suprised as anything when I won the Loveless City knife in the EMCCU raffle.
Joes Comment was that I would like it and that it was a nice knife. So here are my thoughts on using it for the last week or so.
The Loveless CityKnife is made by 'Lone Wolf Knives' , on the reverse of the blade is a small logo with the word 'Italy' etched below it.
the blade claimed to be a Wharncliffe but I would say it's more of a modified spear point,
it has a steel bolster and green linen micarta scales held together with Torx screws.
The dimensions of the knife are as follows:
blade 2 1/2 inches
bolster 3/4 inch
scales 3 inches
overal length open 6 1/2 inches
overal length closed 3 1/2 inches

it isn't a very big or thick handle at only 8 mm wide and 16mm deep, but due to the length of the handle it fits in the hand comfortably.
It has a comfortable opening click, with very little play in the joint - which can be adjusted with the torx set pivot,
on closing the blade stops at 45o where there is a depression and then with a little more pressure then completes it's close.
As to it's capabilities it came out of the box shaving sharp and left a 1 inch wide by 2 inch long bare path on my forearm
with one clean sweep!
After using the knife all week at Uni for all manner of things including sharpening pencils,
cutting patterns in Frisk masking film, opening sandwich packs and cutting foil on Wine bottle necks;
I then decided to test how much of an edge it had left after this usage.
So first I rolled a piece of A4 into a tube giving 3 layers and taped the top and bottom
I then pressed the blade onto the surface at an angle

the blade just slid straight through the paper - much to my suprise !
So remembering what someone asked on one of the other tests about cutting credit cards I tried it on a card

As can be seen it managed it - it did take a little pressure ; BUT neither of the cutting tests where done with a slicing action ,
they both were done with presssure alone on a single place on the blade.
in size comparison here it is with my Native and my Opinel No8 for comparison

So my overal impressions of the knife?
A nice little piece that i will quite happily carry around and use, it handles all the daily 'office' needs of a pocket knife without being
excessive or overly small.
Public opinion of it has been good, so much so that I have had trouble keeping it as it has received quite a few admiring glances
from Technicians and staff at Uni and a few people have actualy asked where they can get one from.
