I spent a wonderful weekend uplands of lake Balaton with some of my friends, and we made some small things there.
We tried to make some home made mosaic rivets, and some knife.
Here is mine before polishing. (With a young Hungarian knifemaker's help)
I'll make a sheath for it soon.

Materials:
Blade: tool steel 58-59 HRC 4mm (stainless steel)
Grip : Mahagony (with linseed oil & beeswax), red fiber, brass, mosaic rivets

I hope you like it !

Regards, Raga

Nice work!
I love that drop-point blade, it looks really practical. Is it flat or hollow-ground? The mosaics turned out lovely too, but I would love to see that handle buffed to an obscene shine.

alfie.

Thanks !
It's a hilly place near the bigest lake of Hungary.

great work! very simple yet elegant, :happy15:

i agree with alfie, adding a bit more shine in the handle would add to it.
