Blacksmiths from around the world are forging leaves (from stainless steel or copper) for a memorial for those who fell in the recent fires:

Excellent.
But according to your link it is not for the victims: It is to honour all the volunteers Fire Fighters.

And it is a great symbol for a very worthy cause

I've not forged stainless, copper let alone made a leaf but I'm intending to try.

I though my effort might have been subtly tucked to one side as it's not the best :lol:

If I had known I had this long to get it to them, I may have spent a bit longer on it!

I thought this worth a bump as things are really progressing on the tree front.

They have recently forged the main trunk and are in the process of forging the brances. There are some impressive looking presses & hammers that were being used!!

I'll post some video clips across.

Overall Forge team and members of the Australian Blacksmiths Association (Victoria) in front of the Davy Press that forged the trunk of the Tree.
