Many thanks to all who have replied . I now have more then I need of 4mm Kydex and some 2mm yet to land.
I have surplus 4mm that I have placed in the classified I am open to trades for any knife/sheaf making materials or tools
I am still fairly to to this forum but I am learning loads GREAT site.
Once again thank you.
This is one piece of black 4mm KYDEX 29CM X39CM
Update I will sell a second sheet for £11 a third for £10 a forth for £9 a fifth for £8. You get the idea each extra sheet is a pound cheaper and remember this includes postage Maximum 5 sheets.
This can be used to make knife sheaves; iPods holders’ protective case for mobile the list is endless. Below is a link to a KYDEX tutorial
2mm is the most common size available and is great for knife sheaves but if you want twice the protection or something a bit different try this 4mm. Used on a lot of tactical items
I have lots of this and can offer other sizes contact me for details.
This free delivery buy now only and UK only sale.

4mm is too thick in my opinion, the commonly used thicknesses for sheaths are .060" and .090", which is approx 1.5 and 2.3mm or so.

I was going to try these rivets, but never did. Maybe someone could confirm if they are suitable?

4mm is way to thick for sheaths, i mainly use 2mm and on small sheaths i use thinner.

Would the eyelet at the top work with this kit?

I've been using the eyelets provided but they're a bit short, by 1 maybe 2 mm.

I am think of making some torch holders to fit on belts or with a special clip to go on stab vests if 4mm is too thick I will use 4mm for the back and 2mm for the loop.

I am going to use 4mm for some torch holders to fit directly onto stab vest and a mixture of 4mm and 2mm for other products I am new to the material so I will learn as I go on.
Whats Kydex foam ? I have seen the tutorial on here . Why and how do you use it? Where do I buy it if I do need some?

I cant imagine why you would want or need 4mm kydex and i believe you will learn a lot quicker & easily with thinner stuff. I do all my sheaths with either .060" or .080", 1.5 or 2mm. I get all my kydex, foam and rivets from knifekits.com as they have it all together. They also have a good DVD and a book on how to use it all. Also over on KnifeDogs forum there is a good tutorial that shows how to make a press and then make sheaths.
Cheers Bruce

See their catalogue; shipping will probably differ to the UK vs HK.

Impossible.

You can use "plastic welder" (used when plastic pipelines are put together. It´s a strong glue and may be hard to find.... If you heat and press your kydex the right way, superglue can be used but you´ll need a tight fit. That said, eyelits is the best way to keep this stuff together.
Good luck
J.
