I have recieved notification that Andy replied to the Powerball thread but the post was not there when I checked. I checked just a few minutes after Andy posted and the content was nothing that would be moderated (in my opinion). I am sure this has happened before and I think it may have been one of Andy's posts then too.

As most folks know, if you delete a post really fast then it doesn't show as deleted. Do these still show up on response notifications?

Andy deletes a lot of posts immediately after posting them.

I do too!

I didn't

It's the same as editing them immediately after posting, that doesn't show up as edited either. It seems to be about a thirty second delay.

Try it!

:D

I just edited a post that I made a while ago (last one in this thread) it doesn't show up as edited either

Does this mean I have God like powers? :D

(as well as traffic cones in my room  )

No, you have a short time to edit your post to correct errors before it flags up as having been edited.

Can't see why Andy would have deleted it. It was not something that had been covered.

I think Andy probably deleted it himself shortly after posting it and after the email alert was sent out. :)

I was starting to think that but Andy just posted on the thread saying he did not delete it. I would be surprised if he deleted it. You would think he would be keen to confirm that he had not kissed Mark :D but then again youngsters these days ;)

Mate I wouldn't worry about it unless one of yours vanishes without explanation. :)

I've set the permissions for subscribing members to delete thier own posts to "no". No one has complained of having thier own posts dissapear, there are no logged database errors, the moderator logs show it wasn't moderated and posts generally dont delete themselves. If questions are being asked about where posts are vanishing to, the first thing I have to do is stop members deleting thier own posts. Sorry guys. Subscribers will now have a "last edited by" comment in thier posts too.
