  2. Knife philosophy

    I was fortunate to grow up in an environment when knives were not regarded as evil...the golden age has passed, never to return...

    I started making knives in 1975, as age fifteen...
    I took a hunk of 12mm thick steel, about 40mm wide, that was in my Dad's garage.............and made an integral knife, after a longgggg time filing with a second cut file, ( the only one that my father would let me have)

    One Sunday afternoon, I finished my very first knife... ...

  3. Grinding Jig...work in progress

    Hello all
    as i promised Ropeman i would start a work in progress.
    I have to make a bigger platform for my grinder, so proper pics of a project will come as soon as i get that sorted.

  4. Visiting Brussels and two of its knife shops.

    Right I have been meaning to write this for the last 6 months, Hope its useful to someone

    Late last summer SWMBO and I decided to go to Brussels, Belgium for a few days for good food, fine beer (well my reason) and relaxing, and if we were to go past a knife shop or two, well no reason not to go in, you know
