I wanted to ask here to see if anyone knows about getting it repaired with O2.

Will O2 fix it even though it's out of warranty? Will it cost a bomb?

And also (the main reason why I'm asking on BB), will they touch it if they know it's jailbroken?

Thanks! :)

A good friend of mine has asked if i can sell some katana for him. We are talking about 6 live blade swords, do not know what sort of money he is thinking about yet.

Am i allowed to sell them on BB, just conscious of all the media attention given to them over the last few years?

A long-lost model used to film the climax of the 1933 film will be sold in South Kensington next week. However, it looks more like a Meccano model than a 50ft wild ape.

The bristling rabbit fur pelt and latex muscles have long since rotted away, but the 22in metal skeleton that remains was the star of one of the most famous scenes in cinema history. The model was thought to have been destroyed years ago, but was recently unearthed in a collector’s shoebox.

The 76-year-old Kong is an intricate assemblage of dozens of hinges and pivots that were painstakingly moved between each shot to create the impression of a roaring beast dominating the city. King Kong effectively created this stop-motion animation technique, according to Mr Roberts. “The influence on things like Wallace & Gromit cannot be overestimated. They still use the same techniques,” he said.

Kong was created by the specialeffects pioneer Willis O’Brien at RKO Studios.

The model was saved by Eugene Hilchey, a collector, when RKO’s props department was scrapped in 1967.

Can someone fill me in about my rights please.

I recently bought something from a US site.

They said they would post it first class international airmail.

Now 3 weeks on I still don't have the item - (and no it is not a knife so don't go "Mount Pleasant will have seized it")

So I contact the seller to alert them that it may have gone missing.

They send back a pretty snotty email saying it is not their responsibility, having handed it to USPS and received a proof of postage , anything after that is up to me to sort out.

They also tried to say it could take 4 to 6 weeks (1st class airmail wtf ?).

Seems to me this is a bit of a legal black hole, I paid for an item but have no rights to make a claim against USPS, the seller has little interest in sorting out the situation as they have a proof of postage.

I can of course reclaim my money via paypal but I am reluctant to take this step quite yet.

6 weeks is 42 days and the cutoff time for paypal disputes is 45 days.

What exactly are my rights ?

TIA

No it's real ok, daughter (younger version of mother) is expecting AND GUESS WHAT not ONE but TWO!!!. YEP THATS CORRECT TWINS!! AND GUESS WHAT twin GIRLS!!! So that means, thats going to be 4 like my ex wife. My wallet is in freefall. On a serious point i am getting used to the idea (it,s took 4 months for me to accept it) and i suppose i will love it really, the only reason i get out of bed and function for is my 3 children. The father of said twins is Ripley's largest MORON so he wont be helping much at all. She is moving back to Mother for a time as 2 is going to be quite a handfull, and being Maries first children she is going to be like a fish out of water. Now it's a waiting game and i am just hoping (and praying) that everything is going to be ok.
Paul.
PS What a time to become SOBER EH!!
