I see this one has an ambidextrous clip. Does anyone know if the stud is ambidextrous too?

If it's not readily removeable it could always be removed and replaced with a new stud.

Cheers Stew. I guess I was wondering if it had a stud on the other side for us lefties, or if it would need modding.

I can't remember where I got this photo, but it does show that the knife has ambi thumbstuds.

I must say that I'm not big on the extra holes either, what's the point?

Brilliant. Thanks for that. This knife is now another addition to my "must buy" list

It's the sharp bit at the end of the blade

There's either a sound practical reason behind them which we can't figure out yet, or I would tend to agree with you. What is the point of them?

At 4oz like the Boker site says, it's quite a tank. I'd expect the liners to be drilled out a bit, not the blade.

That said, I don't typically mind a bit of extra weight on a knife. I like heavy if it is a good heavy.

Re: Boker Plus XS - Heads up!

Just had confirmation email from Olly that my Boker Plus XS has been added to the order.

My Grasshoppers will be shipped out today

Looks like I've got quite a few reviews to do soon!

Vango Tigris 600 tent, Spyderco grasshopper, boker Plus XS, Snugpak sleeping bags (I've got a winter weight and a summer weight on the way), Exped Synmat sleepmat & chair kit, Michael Morris friction folder with wharncliffe blade.

That and I need to pop some stuff up for sale to fund a new torch

Re: Boker Plus XS - Heads up!

I've got a Snugpak Softie 12 Osprey on the way (which will be here first) in "Extra Long" for late autumn / winter / early spring and a Snugpak Softie 6 Kestrel in extra long for spring / Summer / Early autumn. Both with their relevant expander panels.

They don't do the Jungle Bag in Extra Long, but if I find the Softie 6 too warm in the summer, I'll look at getting a Softie 3 Merlin or similair just for summer.

Very much looking forward to this knife.........personally, just wish they could've made the clip more of a discrete fixing, as it is there'll be a good 1" sticking out of the pocket.

More like this may have been good.......

I agree, but not from a discrete point of view, but more a comfort one. I find it annoying when there's a lot of handle sticking out. I'm not quite up to making my own clips (yet ) but I think I may have a spare low carry clip in a box.

Yep, when you look at this one (part pic of Dan's Les V) a low-carry clip just seems so simple and easy - I really don't know why more manufacturer's don't do it, esp as we're in such a pc, anti-sharps world these days.
