Rare wood. Once in a lifetime offer maybe...

I have the possibility of getting some REAlly rare wood from a contact in the States.

It's called CHITTUM Burl, and the tree is protected. They cut off one burl every 10-15 years and have to get special permission to do it.

I have a party of about 3-4 kg reserved.

It's expensive and I can't afford to pay for it in one go, its around 60-65 USD per piece pluss postage.

If anyone is interested then let me know and we'll see if we can sort out a way to get it paid for and sent to me and then you. Its a saffron yellow colour with redish spots, and is similar to Curly birch.

If no one wants then I'll find a way to pay for it and keep it all myself!

The decision is yours!! ( where have I HEARD THAT BEFORE?)

The price is per 500 gram ( a lb) to those who don't work in kilos) block as I ubderstand it.

It is very expensive, but as I said, you will not find this wood anywhere. It is exceptionally rare.

This knife sold for about $1000 (us)

Have a look, consider it and let me know. 4 lbs are already gone. Sorry, if it ain't for you.

    :dunno:

I have just mailed the guy in the States and have asked him how much of this stuff he has. It will be cheaper for us all if he sends a big order, than if he just sends a few kilos.

The offer stands until he sends me details as to how much he has. Once I know this then I'll order and those who have missed out.... will miss out :crying:
