Take no Kami Espi/Wonder "The Rattle Snake"

You remember that a few month ago I posted two bamboo higonokamis made in collaboration with Stephane Espi (french pro knife maker) who made the blades for me.

Here is a follow up I did in october but was too lazy to post.

Compared to all the others that I have made before, the blade is quite big (11cm) and it is made out of a damascus by Achim Wirtz - Composition : 1.2842, 1.2519, 75Ni8.
The handle is as usual made out of bamboo root from China.
It was not an easy job to do such a biggie only with my small Dremel machine and I put a lot of effort into it.
There is not much to say besides the fact that it is always a pleasure to work with Stephane, a very kind and talented fellow.
I rather let the pictures do the talking

Oh yes, because of its tail we called it "the rattle snake"

Here is a side by side with one of the previous one (75mm blade) to judge the size.

Actually I think, but I'm not 100% sure if it was this one, that Grace saw the knife for real at the last Sicac.
