Even though I'm only running 1/2 HP, this thing munches through steel like you wouldn't believe! It's like I've turbo'd and supercharged it.
The change in belt length and the bigger wheels have made this into a really useable machine (whereas it was only good for some parts of doing the handles before).
I would say that with similar size wheels on that design, I wouldn't worry too much about the power issues, as you can always retrofit a bigger motor later.
Would make for an interesting back up, can the add ons still be bought?

The belts were old ones from Colin of this parish, (one of which I've never seen before, it was like wire wool on a belt?) but yeah, even more deaded!

    A few pics too..

    Coming together....

    360 degree rotating platten arm..

Again, ignore the bottom roller, it will be replaced by the wheel from my old Aldi grinder.

    Email from Stot:

You can change its angle 360 degrees so you can work off the top or bottom rollers, or off the slack at the back, or off the platten. Or you can tilt it to any angle to do bevels. Ill probably put a locator pin in for 0/90/180/240 degrees.

Its running full speed in that video and isn't even bolted down so its balanced out nice.
Ive asked for 15 and 20 degrees as pins too for bevels (or am i being too simplistic?), anything else you guys can think of?

The table will slide (strait) along the tool arm to counter for the distance of the platten based on the angle of rotation (i hope that makes sense)
