Windshirt / Softshell Advice Please
Hi,
I'm looking for a lightweight wind resistant top for spring/autumn days when there's a bit of a breeze. It's specifically for clayshooting so I need a soft fabric that allows unrestricted arm movement. Preferably in subdued colours such as black or grey.
I started looking at golf windshirts but all the shops I looked in only had short sleeved versions. I then popped into Blacks and they steered me towards the Montane Tempo. I'm pretty comfortable with that jacket but I thought I'd check here as I know there are quite a few experts on outdoor kit here.
Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Thanks for those. I'm still drawn to the Montane as it's a full zip jacket, easier to get on and off when wearing hat/glasses and ear defenders, plus it's easier to cool down.

Re: Windshirt / Softshell Advice Please
Rab Vapour Rise jacket is one of my favorites.
They seem to have changed the material recently and I'm not quite so keen on that, but I'm sure the quality will be as good.
Are you after a new one?
I may have an old one in size M if you don't mind it being a little on the worn side.

Thanks for that, I like the sound of the Vapour Rise Lite I'll try and see if I can look at one ion the flesh (but I'm afraid I'll never fit in a medium....).
Cheers

Under £50 here if you don't mind the military look.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
